Australian Border Collie National Archive
The Australian Border Collie National represents some of the most significant gatherings of Border Collies, their breeders, owners and competitors in Australia. Since the inaugural National, these events have brought the Border Collie community together from across Australia and overseas to celebrate the breed in both conformation and performance.
Each National provides a snapshot of the breed at a particular point in its history — recording influential dogs and breeding programs, outstanding performances, respected judges and the continued development of the Border Collie as one of the world's most versatile working and sporting breeds.
The National has continued to evolve over the years. Alongside the National Championship Show, performance disciplines have become an increasingly important part of the event, recognising that the qualities which define the Border Collie extend well beyond the show ring.
