The National Border Collie Council is the official Australian Breed Council affiliated with Dogs Australia and exists to promote, maintain, protect and cherish the purebred Border Collie in Australia.

Border Collie Health

The National Border Collie Council Health Sub-Committee develops policy on health of the breed, including the prevention of ill-health and the reduction of health problems, especially preventable genetic diseases.

Border Collie Nationals Archive

Since the first National, the event has brought together Border Collies and their people from across Australia and beyond, celebrating the breed across the show ring and a diverse range of performance disciplines.

The Border Collie Nationals Archive is being developed to preserve that history, bringing together records from each National including dates and venues, judging panels, major winners, performance results, catalogues, photographs and other historical material. The archive is an ongoing project, with records continuing to be recovered and added as they become available.

Affiliated Member Clubs
National Breed Councils must comprise of at least two specialised breed clubs, each affiliated with a separate Member Body of Dogs Australia.

There are currently five breed clubs across Australia represented in the NBCC.
